A Hundred Acres of Books
Hey all! My name is Mackenzie Armani, and I am a family, couples, and milestone photographer in Grand Junction, Colorado.
I am writing today about a beautiful session I had with a good friend of mine, and her babies.
Lisa's husband is currently serving our county and this family has literally banded together to support one another while Dad is away. Typing that just about takes my breath away. Most people do not have a village but man, do we all need it and that's just every day not to mention miles away...
This session took place on the family's property. 1) The scenery was perfect, the lighting was protected just enough to not cause mayhem, and, 2) This makes life easier for families with young children. This momma already wrangled the kids and then got herself ready she did not need to load everyone and everything up too.
We matched neutral outfits to neutral props. We had some print involved but everything flowed well and photographed exceptionally well. This is key to making a picture seamless.
As a momma myself, I love being around other young families. I am unbothered by tantrums and know how to work through them to create an enjoyable session for everyone involved. Snacks and hugs certainly do not hurt!
Since we are talking about tantrums, toddlers love games!! We played a lot of games in this session. There was a duck decoration we used to play duck-duck-goose, we used silly voices, chased each other around, danced, jumped, and laughed a LOT.
Oh, my goodness and the books!! The books showcased in this session reflect only a tiny number of books Lisa has, we are talking a hundred acres of books! This whole mood was like stumbling into Terabithia, absolute magic.
This session was timeless and carefree as childhood should be. My hope is that my clients, and their kiddos, feel welcome to be their beautiful, one-of-a-kind, and even loud selves.
I promise to bring laughter and fun into our sessions and ensure that having beautiful pictures of your family is one less thing you have to worry about.
